With the new PADI eLearning program, you can learn the basics of scuba diving from the comfort of your own home. This online course will start you on your way to becoming a PADI Open Water Diver. Here's how it works: Using the link below, you will be redirected to the PADI eLearning site and register for the Open Water Diver course. The cost for the eLearning program is $120. This is the academic portion of the Open Water course, and provides you with the knowledge base you will need to complete the PADI Open Water Diver certification program. Upon completion of the eLearning portion of the course, you will then call to schedule the remainder of the course with Pacific Coast SCUBA (408) 463-0585. The pool session of the course can be completed in as little as two days. It includes skill training in both a shallow and deep pool, of which is conducted Wednesday and/or Thursday evenings. The 4 open water training dives are then completed in Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, over 2 days. The cost for the Open Water Certification is $270.00 this does not include PADI's online portion, it does includes the use of the SCUBA rental gear during the class, the instructor fee and the fees for processing your certification. We also offer the ocean certification dives in Monterey Bay from the Beachhopper II Dive Boat for an additonal $140. Dive Monterey's best dive sights without ever touching the sand. Each student needs to have his/her own snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves). Additionally, each student will need to have his/her own dive log book and dive tables.
